Once upon a time in a faraway corner of the WWW, there used to be a site called NBCi...

It was there, in an online community for fans of the NBC soap Days of Our Lives, that I came to meet many of the existing members of Club Kapooku. The DAYS fans at NBCi were a large, volatile group...some of the posters there seemed to have forgotten that we were discussing a TV show and not members of their own families. Flaming abounded...and even a death threat at one point. I guess NBCi came to regret supporting a free community for psychos, rabid fans and wanna-be murderers...so with less than 24 hours notice, they shut us down.

With what little notice I had, I collected about 30 email addresses and like a virtual Moses, I led the little flock over here to ezboard to make a new home. That was August 18, 2001, and I had no idea what I was doing. The original site was as ugly as the attitudes of some of the people we'd left behind, and I'm glad I have no screenshots for you to point and laugh at. I knew nothing about...well, anything...but, we've come a long way.

Now, over three years later, we have a terrific (if I do say so myself) layout and almost 400 registered members. And we also have lots of forums, so we don't just talk about DAYS anymore! Some of our members don't even watch the show. I'm not sure what's wrong with them...
